My brother has a Mercedes G500 (w463 long) bj. 2002
He is looking for a speaker upgrade.
Searched the internet...very limited information available
What am I looking for:
Is anyone known with the current size of the speakers (or the size that fits possible with adapter)/ possible existing amp ?
What would be the best way forward ?
Not that crazy, not looking for complete custom made build of speakers enclosures etc...
Old head unit already changed into Pioneer (or other brand).
To make a little bit serious upgrade -> add an amp -> preferred one with DSP (plug and play solution available ?)
Some sound proofing.
Extra sub enclosure , nice, not immediately wanted...
Initially, I would prefer to re-use some of my old stuff..in case it is relative plug-and-play (speaker size, depth etc.)
- I have some speakers from Dynaudio (MW160,MD140,MD100), however no crossover (besides I expect that 16 cm. does not fit), or MP MK7.28, axton woofers
- I also have some oldschool Alpina amplifiers..
- Original head unit already changed into Pioneer (when I am not mistaking)
